American Movie Classics will team up with entertainment-industry magazine Premiere to develop a weekly series highlighting movies from the AMC library beginning Feb. 28.
Each weekly, two- to three-minute Premiere Movie Mag show will air prior to an AMC movie and will feature Premiere editor Jill Bernstein providing a short introduction to the film, as well as an entertainment report on the latest film buzz, AMC officials said.
The first show will precede AMC's Feb. 28 primetime airing of The Candidate.
AMC and Premiere will co-promote the series in the magazine and on their respective Web sites: www.amctv.com and www.premiere.com .
'We are pleased to offer Premiere's distinctively fresh perspective on movies to the AMC viewer,' AMC executive vice president and general manager Noreen O'Loughlin said in a prepared statement.
'The teaming of two popular entertainment brands offers our audiences a unique take on the world of movies,' she added.
