N.M. Advertisers Sue Comcast

By Multi Channel News Staff -- Multichannel News, 6/4/2003 7:10:00 AM

A group of advertisers in Albuquerque, N.M., sued Comcast Corp., alleging that they were misled about the number of cable homes that would view their regional spots.

The suit was filed in state court May 27 by three local ad agencies, a Dodge dealership and a media buyer.

Attorney Robert Lohbeck, who represents the companies in the potential class action, alleged that the advertisers got less than they bargained for.

For instance, advertisers on TV Guide Channel were not told that the network wasn't seen in homes that upgraded to digital.
