Simpson’s Back On Court TV
New York — Just like 10 years ago, O.J. Simpson is set to rule Court TV again.
Catherine Crier will host Simpson in a live interview in an hour-long primetime edition of Catherine Crier Live, “Ten Years After O.J. Simpson,” Wednesday, June 9 at 9 p.m. Prior to Crier, the network will air a one-hour documentary, The People v. O.J. Simpson: Unfinished Business.
Separately, Court TV’s efforts to bring cameras into New York State trial courts continued last Wednesday as oral arguments took place in the state Appellate Division.
“State court judges should have the discretion in New York, as they do in most states, to grant the electronic media the same right to cover trials as the print media,” Court TV chairman and CEO Henry Schleiff said in a statement.
All 50 states currently allow cameras at least in appellate proceedings, but New York is one of nine states that do not allow cameras in trial courts.
Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP founding partner David Boies is overseeing Court TV’s representation.
