CABLEVISION

Cablevision Systems Corp. named Pete Olsen vice president, leadership development. He comes from human resources consultancy SHL, where Comcast Corp. reported three appointments at its Chesapeake Bay, Md., systems: Bob Priesel, formerly Comcast's Mid-Atlantic region accounting manager, was named director of business operations; Daniel J. Hoffman, formerly of Primestar, was named director of advertising sales; and Mark Watts, formerly Comcast's senior marketing manager for metropolitan Baltimore, was named director of marketing.

COX

Patricia "Pat" Mitchell was elevated to vice president, human resources at Cox Communications in San Diego. She had been Western region director, training and organization development.

DISCOVERY

Donna Thomas was elevated to senior VP, national accounts, affiliate sales and marketing at Discovery Networks U.S. She had been vice president, digital distribution. Also, Elizabeth Ross was named VP, Northern region, affilate sales and marketing. She had been director of the Northern region.

ESPN

Russell Wolff was named senior vice president, ESPN International. He had been senior VP of programming and event management at ESPN Star Sports.

FOX KIDS

Fox Kids Network elevated Robin Lia Whitaker to vice president, national promotions and sales development. She had been director, national promotions.

GOTHAM

Gotham Broadband named Bijan Chowdhury chief operating officer. He had been senior director of Oracle Corp.'s financial consulting practice.

INSIGHT

Insight Communications Corp. announced two promotions: Scott Cooley was elevated to senior vice president, employee relations; and David S ervies will fill Cooley's former post as senior vice president, Indiana operations. Servies had been district VP, northeast Indiana.

KATZ MEDIA

Steve Henderson was promoted to central regional vice president with Millennium Sales & Marketing for the midwest region. He had been vice president/general manager for the Chicago office. Lee Winikoff was promoted to western regional vice president/director of sales. Most recently he was divisional vice president/director of sales in the Los Angeles office. John Wahlert was promoted to vice president/general sales manager. He will add that title to his current role as sales manager with the Los Angeles Senators Team.

KNOLOGY

Knology Inc. named Michael Withiam as general manager of its new Louisville, Ky., division. He had been director, business operations at Cincinnati Bell.

MTV

MTV: Music Television named Jodi Morelli director, MTV affiliate marketing. She had been director, affiliate marketing for Fox News Channel and FXM: Movies from Fox.

NAT GEO

National Geographic elevated Mitchell Praver to president, nationalgeographic.com. He had been senior vice president, new media at National Geographic Ventures.

REPLAYTV

ReplayTV Inc. named Andrew Missan vice president, general counsel. He comes from Egereetings Network Inc., where he was vice president, general counsel.

SONY

Sony Corporation of America named Howard Polskin vice president, corporate communications. Karen Kelso was named senior director, media services. Robin Vernon was named manager of media services.

TIME WARNER

Time Warner Cable named Mary Anne Jacobs vice president, general manager of its Grand Strand, Florence, Lake City and Kingstree, S.C., cable systems. Also, Chris DeRario was named marketing director of Time Warner's Bergen and Hudson counties, N.J., system. DeRario had been a general manager and director of operations with Cablevision Systems Corp.

TWC

The Weather Channel named Marla Greenstein vice president, customer marketing. She had been area director of marketing for Comcast South Florida.

UNIVISION

C. Douglas Kranwinkle was appointed executive vice president and general counsel, overseeing all of the company's legal matters. Most recently, he had been a managing partner at O'Melveny & Myers, a Los Angeles-based law firm.

VH1

VH1 elevated Bruce Gillmer to senior vice president, music and talent relations. Also, Michael J. Garvey was promoted to director of music programming. He had been programming manager.
