Kidd to Head TWC's San Antonio Cluster

Cable veteran Kevin Kidd has returned to the industry as president of Time Warner Cable's San Antonio, Texas division.
In his new job, Kidd will oversee management of the 53 communities in the San Antionio cluster, which together serve approximately 332,000 subscribers.
Kidd was most recently with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oregon, Inc., where served as president and CEO.
He consulted for Charter Communications Inc., on their Pacific Microwave Joint Venture for two years and from 1999-2000 was CEO of Porterra.Com Inc., an e-commerce Internet start-up company based in Beaverton, Ore.
Prior to that Kidd had worked as president of Paragon Cable, which had been a subsidiary of Time Warner Inc., from 1990-1999, overseeing the Portland, Ore. division.
'Kevin achieved great results when he managed the Portland, Ore. cable systems previously owned by Time Warner Cable,' said TWC executive vice president John Bickham in a statement, 'and he enjoys a reputation for strong leadership where teamwork and accountability are valued as keys to success.'
Kidd started his cable career in 1982, when he joined Cox Cable Communications at its Atlanta headquarters as director of field operations.
He subsequently became vice president and general manager for Cox's Jefferson Parish, Louisiana cable system from 1984 to 1990.
