By Multi Channel News Staff -- Multichannel News, 7/10/2001 11:11:00 AM

Bank of America and AOL Time Warner Inc. announced a multiyear, multiplatform advertising alliance Tuesday benefiting both parties.

For its part, Bank of America will advertise across various AOL Time Warner-owned media properties, including various Turner Broadcasting System Inc. cable networks -- such as Cable News Network and CNNfn, soon to become CNN Money -- Time Inc. magazines and America Online, according to AOL Time Warner co-chief operating officer Bob Pittman.

AOL Time Warner will advertise across Bank of America's Web-enabled automated-teller machines, telephone banking and banking centers nationwide.

'This agreement marks the first time another company has launched advertising on this scale on Bank of America channels,' Bank of America consumer-products executive Barbara Desoer said in a prepared statement.
