MSOs Can Test-Drive TV Guide’s New ‘i-Guide’

Gemstar-TV Guide International Inc.’s TV Guide Interactive division said Wednesday that it is launching an "MSO Pilot Program" for testing of its "i-Guide" interactive programming guide.

Current and potential MSO partners will have the opportunity to sample i-Guide through alpha- and beta-testing, to become familiar with its navigation and features and to provide user feedback prior to its initial commercial deployment.

The i-Guide is slated for commercial release this summer.

The pilot program will begin in mid-March. Participants can sample the company’s current guide while continuing to test and give feedback for future guide releases. Users provide feedback through a dedicated area of TV Guide’s affiliate Web site (http://www.tvguideportfolio.com/).
