Lifetime Flick Has Ratings Luster

Lifetime Original Movie A Date with Darkness: The Trial and Capture of Andrew Lusterscored a 3.1 household rating (3.3 million viewers) during its premiere Monday, Lifetime Television announced Tuesday.

The film, which stars Jason Gedrick and Marla Sokoloff, was the network’s third-highest-rated original movie in 2003.

A Date with Darkness was also atop the charts for all key female demographics, including 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.

The movie was based on transcripts of the trial of Andrew Luster, a convicted rapist and recently captured fugitive who was convicted on 86 criminal counts, including rape by use of drugs.
