DIY Sets 'Ultimate Workshop Giveaway II'

Do It Yourself announced Tuesday that its second annual "Ultimate Workshop Giveaway" sweepstakes will run May 5 through June 16, linked to its five-part on-air program, The Ultimate Workshop II.
That five-parter will show viewers how to build their own workshops, with its content also to be available via its Web site (www.diynet.com ). In addition, the program will be rerun at various times during the promotion period.
Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse and DaimlerChrysler will be the sweepstakes' presenting sponsors, DIY president Jim Zarchin said. The grand prize will be $50,000 in cash for tools and materials to build a workshop.
Additional sponsors will include Briggs & Stratton Corp., LendingTree Inc.'s LendingTree.com (www.lendingtree.com ), Popular Woodworking magazine and Woodcraft Supply Corp.
One year ago, the promotion brought nearly 1 million unique visitors to DIY's Internet site, while the sweepstakes generated almost 750,000 entries, DIY said, adding that its site now regularly attracts 1 million-plus unique visits per month.
