Weather Series Matches Ratings Mark

By Multi Channel News Staff -- Multichannel News, 1/17/2003 12:28:00 PM

The Weather Channel's new series, Storm Stories on The Weather Channel, matched the network's best-ever rating for non-severe-weather programming Wednesday.

The Jan. 15 installment of Storm Stories, titled "Nowhere to Run," averaged a 0.8 household rating from 8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., according to Nielsen Media Research data.

That matched a "Hurricane" installment during a "StormWeek" stunt in June 2001, network officials said.
