ABC

Michael Dean was named executive vice president of business operations and distribution for ABC Cable Networks Group. Dean previously served as senior vice president of strategic planning for The Walt Disney Co.

ADcom

ADcom Information Sales appointed Michael Anapolsky vice president of sales for local cable systems. Anapolsky was a co-founder of Sunshine Sports Network.

Adelphia

Adelphia Communications Corp. promoted Lee Perron to regional vice president for Southern California. The company also hired Dick Tuthill to serve as general manager for its northern Vermont systems.

AOL Time Warner

Theodore Ullyot was tapped as senior vice president and general counsel for AOL Time Warner Europe. Ullyot will be based in London and New York, and will work with the general counsels of the company's various divisions.

CMR

CMR Media Group appointed Carl Dickens senior vice president. Dickens will oversee all sales and services aimed at media sellers.

CNN

Jason Baron was promoted to vice president of direct response advertising for Cable News Network's news group. Baron previously served as director of direct response advertising for the news group.

Cox

Cox Communications Inc. promoted Mae Douglas to senior vice president and chief people officer. Douglas has been with Cox since 1995.

CTAM

Jeffrey Kapner was named president of the Cable & Telecommunications Association of Southern California. Kapner is senior director of market development and strategic planning for Keen Personal Media.

ESPN

ESPN promoted John Kosner to senior vice president of business operations for ESPN.com and ESPN The Magazine. Kosner will oversee league relationships and product development in broadband, wireless and new technologies.

Global Media

Juliet Grimm was named director of international production for Global Media Television. Grimm had been director of co-production and business development for Beyond International.

Hallmark

Hallmark Channel appointed Maura Dunbar to senior vice president of original programming and development. The network also announced the promotion of Fiona Arnold to vice president of legal and business affairs, and assistant general counsel for Crown Media Holdings Inc.

MBC

Twuanna Munroe joined Major Broadcasting Cable Network as controller. MBC also appointed Jon Coward marketing and Web site manager.

NCC

National Cable Communications appointed Chuck Cowdrey regional vice president for sales. Cowdrey's move is part of an expansion of NCC's sales force.

PCN

The Pennsylvania Cable Network promoted William Bova to vice president of programming, and Debra Kohr Sheppard to vice president of operations.

Playboy

Playboy Entertainment Group Inc. made the following appointments: Stephanie Black was named senior division vice president of direct marketing; Shirley Rohn-Saito was tapped as vice president of satellite and special markets; and Kerry Hirschberg was named vice president of worldwide operations. Playboy also promoted Claude Howard to the position of division vice president of marketing.

RASCO

Rainbow Advertising Sales Corp. appointed Arlene Manos president of Rainbow National Network advertising sales. Manos will oversee ad sales for networks including Bravo, MuchMusic USA and WE: Women's Entertainment.

Turner South

Jennifer Wysocki was promoted to executive producer for Turner South's Liars and Legends and Off the Menu at Commander's Palace.

Varsity

Amy Teter joined Varsity Entertainment as producer and sales representative. Teter previously worked as a producer on shows for HBO, MTV, Lifetime and other networks.

Shop At Home

Robert Montano was promoted to vice president and deputy general counsel for Shop At Home Inc. The home-shopping company also hired Kurt Staiger as vice president of merchandising.

NCUBE

Steven West was named chief operating officer for nCUBE. West is a 20-year veteran of the technology industry.

Pioneer

Pioneer Electronics Corp. appointed David Wright to southeast sales manager for company's cable and communications division. Wright has spent more than 24 years in sales, his most recent post was with Canal Plus U.S. Technologies.
