Mr. Smith Renews with Fox News

Shepard Smith has signed a four-year deal to remain with Fox News Channel, the network announced Wednesday.

Smith, host of signature newscast The Fox Report with Shepard Smith, joined Fox News upon its inception in 1996.

“Shepard has a nose for news that is virtually unsurpassed in television today,” Fox News senior vice president of news editorial John Moody said in a prepared statement. “He's that rare individual who senses a developing story and who knows how to tell it in a way that makes for fun and exciting viewing for his ever-growing audience.”

Smith also hosts Fox News afternoon news program Studio B.
