TechTV awarded Moxi Digital Inc.'s 'Moxi Media Center' home media server the
'Best of CES' at the 2002 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las
Vegas.
The network's 'TechTV-appointed panel of product evaluators' judged new
products in 12 categories.
Nominations were evaluated according to innovative appeal, usability,
usefulness and affordability.
The Moxi Media Center is a residential gateway intended to represent a
replacement for digital cable or digital satellite set-top boxes.
Moxi Media Server also won in the home-video category, followed by finalists
TiVo Inc. for the 'TiVo Series 2' home media server and Philips Consumer
Electronics Co. for the 'DVR985' progressive-scan DVD player and
recorder.
