ABC Cable
ABC Cable Networks Group named Jill Casagrande senior vice president, worldwide programming strategy. Formerly VP, president of scheduling and program planning, she most recently supervised the launch of Disney Channel Japan.
Acterna
Acterna has named cable veteran Mike Richardson director, North American sales, cable networks division. He comes from Sunrise Telecommunications, where he was sales manager.
CHUM
CHUM Ltd. vice president, business and legal affairs Denise Cooper was named general counsel. She retains the VP title.
Comcast
Comcast Corp.'s cable unit elevated David Cleary to director, software engineering in its digital engineering department. He had been project manager, digital engineering, responsible for managing Comcast's digital set-top software platforms.
Also, Brad Anderson was named vice president, general manager of Comcast's Knoxville, Tenn., system. He most recently served as president and CEO of ADexact, a Kitchener, Ontario-based software developer.
Gemstar-TV Guide
Gemstar-TV Guide International Inc. reported two new ad-sales hires in its TV Guide Television Group. Julie Bruzzone was named vice president, marketing for the network ad-sales division. She comes from RCA Records, where she was VP of marketing and artist development.
Also, Mark Mintz was named director, network advertising sales, Western region. He had been director, ad sales at Game Show Network.
Greyfox
Greyfox Services has named Ralph Anderson vice president, sales and marketing, responsible for Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia and Florida.
Hallmark Channel
Lynn Shuter has joined Hallmark Channel as director of ad sales marketing. She comes from PeaPod Promotions, a marketing and promotions consultancy she founded.
Initiative
Initiative Media has tapped Leah Gross as vice president, corporate communications. She comes from her own firm, KLG Communications.
Jupiter
Jupiter Programming Co. named Jack Matthews executive vice president, chief operating officer. He comes from Premium Movie Partnership, where he was CEO.
MTV
MTV: Music Television elevated Jeffrey Keyton to senior vice president, on-air design and off-air creative, MTV and MTV2.
NCTI
NCTI named Mark Johnson vice president of business development. Most recently, Johnson served as senior VP of global sales and marketing for W-Phone, a producer of wireless data software.
New Line
New Line Television named Jon Kroll senior vice president. He had been an executive producer of Big Brother and The Amazing Race.
Reality Central
Karen Miller was named executive vice president, programming and marketing at Reality Central. She comes from Warner Bros. Online, where she was VP, original programming.
Also, Reality Central has named Bill Zaccheo executive vice president, sales. He was most recently president, chief operating officer of Space Media Inc.
Finally, Brooke Carey was tapped as director, programming development and marketing strategies. She had been director, media development at On the Scene Productions.
