A&E

Diane Donohue was promoted to senior vice president of ad sales for A&E Television Networks. Donohue will oversee all eastern region and New York ad sales.

AT&T Broadband

AT&T Broadband announced the following personnel changes: Trey Smith was appointed executive vice president of operations; Ellen Filipiak was named senior vice president — Florida; and Mary White was appointed senior vice president — Denver.

Autonomy

Barbara Rider was named head of production for Autonomy. Rider will oversee all aspects of production on behalf of broadcast, cable, print, music and new media clientele.

BBC Worldwide

Rebecca Segal 's role with BBC Worldwide Americas was expanded. Segal's responsibilities now encompass co-production activities with U.S. networks and production companies.

Discovery

Discovery Networks U.S. appointed Evan Sternschein senior vice president of advertising sales. Sternschein will lead the network's eastern region's ad sales efforts.

NCTA

The National Cable & Telecommunications Association appointed Joe Waz and Christine Levesque as co-chairs of the organization's public affairs committee. Waz is vice president of external affairs and public policy counsel for Comcast Corp. Levesque is senior vice president of communications and marketing for Rainbow Media Holdings Inc.

Rainbow

Rainbow Sports Networks tapped Erin Harvego as corporate marketing manager. Harvego was marketing director with Fox Sports Net Northwest.

Scientific Atlanta

Scientific-Atlanta Inc. named Jenifer Cistola vice president of North American Marketing for S-A's subscriber networks. Cistola will head up the company's CreativEdge program.

Showtime

Geof Rochester joined Showtime Networks Inc. as senior vice president of marketing. Rochester will oversee the strategy, development and implementation of the network's corporate and affiliate marketing efforts.

Starz

Starz Encore Group LLC named David Charmatz senior vice president of research, analysis and strategy. Charmatz previously was executive vice president and chief operating officer of ASI Entertainment.

Time Warner Cable

Time Warner Cable of New York announced the following promotions: Connie Ciliberti to vice president of human resources; Marc Kopman to vice president of learning and development; Robert Watson to vice president of programming and business development; James An to director of Roadrunner business operations; Salvatore Azzaro to director of facilities management; Luigi Deleonardis to director of digital systems; Calvin Lam to director of engineering; Hector Reyes to director of human resources for NY1 News; and Shana Teitelbaum to director of advertising and promotions.

Tribune Entertainment

Richard Inouye was promoted to senior vice president of finance and operations for Tribune Entertainment Co. The company also promoted Seth Howard to vice president of scripted programming and development.

TV Land

Rob Pellizi was named senior vice president of consumer, promotional and advertising sales marketing for TV Land and Nick at Nite. Pellizi will oversee all off-channel consumer marketing, products and promotions.

Weather Channel

Mary Busby was promoted to director of sales strategy for The Weather Channel. She previously served as manager of strategic analysis and operations.

WE

WE: Women's Entertainment Television appointed Susan Smith director of trade marketing. Smith's responsibilities include building brand awareness among potential advertisers and developing overall marketing strategies.

ShopNBC

ShopNBC appointed Maureen McDowall vice president of content for broadcast operations. The network also named Robb Richter vice president of marketing and show scheduling.

Comcast

Vince Johnson was named vice president of human resources for Comcast Cable Communications Inc. The company also tapped Stephen Rabbitt as area vice president for the Eastern Division. Rabbitt will be responsible for the Bucks County, Pa., area.
