RCN Corp. wants your children.
The MSO said Wednesday that it has launched two subscription packages aimed at kids.
Subscription-video-on-demand package “Kids Unlimited” includes content from Scholastic Entertainment, Disney Channel and Toon Disney.
And “RCN interACTION Kids” offers full access on a subscription basis to over 35 educational games, such as “Carmen Sandiego,” “Clifford the Big Red Dog,” “ClueFinders,” “Freddi Fish,” “I SPY” and “Tonka” titles. The service is powered by the “EXEtender” turnkey technology solution from Exent Technologies Inc.
“This is a glimpse at the bundle of the future, and parents are going to love it,” RCN chairman and CEO David C. McCourt said in a prepared statement. “With this partnership with [The Walt] Disney [Co.] and Scholastic, RCN is entering a new era in converging video and data to meet customer demand.”
