Vicom Becomes Multiband

Vicom Inc. will become Multiband Corp. Friday.

The company also said its NASDAQ ticker symbol will change from “VICM” to “MBND.”

Minneapolis-based Multiband delivers satellite-based digital-cable, local-dialtone, long-distance and high-speed-data services on one combined billing and delivery platform to multiple-dwelling units.

“We are now one of the nation's largest private cable operators,” CEO James L. Mandel said in a prepared statement. “The Multiband name and ticker symbol truly provide the best identity of our nationwide services.”
