ESPN’s Derby Saves Cable from July Shutout

ESPN’s Home Run Derby was cable’s only July hit.
According to a Television Advertising Bureau analysis of Nielsen Media Research data, 99 of the top 100 primetime programs in July came from broadcast, with ESPN’s coverage of Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game Home Run Derby coming in as cable’s lone representative.
The Derby came in at No. 49, earning a 4.7 household rating.
