Movielink LLC (www.movielink.com), the
Internet movie-download service owned by most of the major Hollywood studios, is
creating a customized version of its service for BellSouth Corp. "BellSouth
FastAccess" digital-subscriber-line customers.
Trailers for hundreds of Movielink movies will appear on BellSouth's home
page. Customers can download movies for between $2.95 and $4.99 per title for
24-hour viewing.
Movielink is a joint venture of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc., Paramount Pictures,
Sony Pictures Entertainment, Universal Studios and Warner Bros.
BellSouth counts more than 1.2 million DSL subscribers.
