The Weather Channel said Thursday that its weather.com (www.weather.com) was the most-visited news and information site on the Internet in January and No. 11 overall.
TWC said 27 million people visited weather.com in January, up 50% since January 2003.
"These latest numbers from Nielsen//NetRatings prove that when people want expert analysis of weather conditions, they quickly seek out weather.com and The Weather Channel," weather.com senior vice president and general manager Joe Fiveash said in a prepared statement.
