Turner Network Television was back on top in the weekly ratings race, topping USA Network for primetime household honors and sweeping up among key adult demos.
The drama network averaged a 2.2 household rating March 8-14, according to an ABC Cable Networks Group analysis of Nielsen Media Research data. That was 0.2 points higher than USA’s 2.0 for the week.
Nickelodeon was third with a 1.8 mark, while TBS Superstation and Disney Channel were knotted in the fourth slot with a 1.7 apiece.
Lifetime Television and Cartoon Network were next, each with a 1.4. Fox News Channel ranked eighth with a 1.3. Meanwhile, ESPN, Discovery Channel, The History Channel, Sci Fi Channel and The Learning Channel followed, all with 1.1 averages.
TNT led the way among adults 18-34 (551,000 of those viewers), 18-49 (1.31 million) and 25-54 (1.41 million). Sister service TBS ranked among the two younger adult groups with 551,000 and 1.11 million of those watchers, respectively.
USA trailed TNT with 1.13 million adult 25-54 viewers last week.
