Adam Shaw has been named senior vice president of distribution for the NFL Network, the new National Football League television programming service launching this fall.
Shaw had been senior VP, business operations and finance at FX Networks
The NFL Network will air seven days per week, 24 hours per day on a year-round basis and will be the first television network fully dedicated to the NFL and the sport of football.
"We expect [Shaw's] expertise to be pivotal in developing the distribution of the NFL Network and NFL VOD [video-on-demand] opportunities," NFL Network president and CEO Steve Bornstein said in a release.
