VH1 Latin America Tops 3M Mark

By Multi Channel News Staff -- Multichannel News, 9/22/2004 11:01:00 AM

VH1 Latin America said Wednesday that it is now available in 3 million pay TV households throughout Latin America.

The network -- which launched in Mexico in April -- said it has increased its subscriber reach by 40% since then. It can now be seen in 14 countries.

“The response to VH1 in Latin America has been incredible and reaffirms the void in adult-entertainment programming that we set out to fill,” MTV Networks Latin America senior vice president of distribution Pierluigi Gazzolo said in a prepared statement. “MSO partners throughout the region are acknowledging the value of VH1 and the quality of programming it offers their subscribers.”
