Adelphia Communications Corp. elevated Robert Daleo to Southern California regional director, sales and marketing. He had been regional director, video products marketing.
Comcast
Comcast Corp. has hired Rick Lang as regional vice president, marketing and sales, Northwest. He most recently was corporate VP, marketing and sales for Charter Communications Inc.
Also, Comcast named Barry Taylor to area director of government and community affairs for its southern New Jersey cable systems including Avalon, Burlington County, Garden State, Gloucester County, Maple Shade, South Jersey and Wildwood. Prior to Comcast, Taylor served as president of Wheaton Village Inc. in Millville, N.J.
Fox
Adrienne Gary has been named senior vice president, human resources, Fox Networks Group, responsible for Fox Cable Networks Group, Fox Broadcasting Co. and Fox Digital. She most recently was principal in AJG Consulting in Century City, Calif.
Gemstar-TV Guide
Gemstar-TV Guide International Inc. reported several promotions in the TV Guide Network Group: Robert Bel Bruno was elevated to vice president and national sales manager from Eastern sales director; Michele Robinson was named director, direct response; and Debbie Innes was promoted to New York Sales Manager, TV Guide Network Group.
Hallmark Channel
Candice Pearson was elevated to vice president, worldwide marketing at Hallmark Channel. She had been director, worldwide marketing.
Also, Laura Lee was elevated to director, Central region, network distribution and service at Hallmark Channel U.S., and Lisa Barroso was also elevated to regional manager, network distribution and service, Central region, relocating to Chicago from Los Angeles.
In Demand
Rob Jacobson has been elevated to chief operation officer of video-on-demand and pay-per-view programmer In Demand. He had been senior vice president, distribution and product development.
Inspiration
The Inspiration Networks tapped Kathy Covington as director, marketing services. An 11-year company veteran, her prior duties involved oversight of advertising, trade shows and promotional materials.
Lifetime
Lifetime Entertainment Services has named Tricia Melton its vice president, marketing. She comes from Oxygen Media, where she also served as vice president, marketing.
Also, Carla Cortis was named Lifetime's vice president, Western region distribution. She had been director, affiliate relations, Southwest for E! Entertainment Television.
Finally, Gary Morgenstein joined Lifetime's corporate communications team as director, trade and business publicity. He had been VP, corporate communications at A&E Television Networks.
Starz Encore
Thomas Southwick was named vice president, corporate communications at Starz Encore Group LLC. He was founder of Cable World magazine and author of the book Distant Signals: How Cable Changed the World of Telecommunications.
Tennis Channel
The Tennis Channel added three senior executives: senior vice president of ad sales David Safran, formerly senior VP, general sales manager, USA Network and Sci Fi Channel; vice president of marketing Faye Walker, who served Game Show Network in the same capacity; and vice president of research John Morse, former head of research at Financial News Network and CNBC.
