Adelphia

Adelphia Communications Corp. reported three appointments to its Kentucky area operations: Robert Trott as general manager, Batrina Morse as marketing manager and Carla Deaton as government-affairs manager.

Animal Planet

Animal Planet has tapped David Doyle as vice president, production and development. He comes from Los Angeles-based production company Ampersand Media, where he was president and executive producer.

Cablevision

Joseph Varello has joined Cablevision Systems Corp. as vice president, digital voice product management. He comes from Con Edison Communications, where he was executive director, business development.

C-COR

C-COR Inc. has expanded its Asia Pacific development team, adding Jonathan Ridley, Larry Knitter and Bill Cardarette.

Cox

Mary Vic Dantin was named vice president, customer care at Cox Communications Inc.’s New Orleans system. She comes from Delta Air Lines, where she was call-center operations manager, North America.

General Bandwidth

Voice-over-Internet protocol gear vendor General Bandwidth has named Robert Vrij senior vice president, worldwide sales andJody Bennett vice president, marketing.

GFC

Barry Wilson has joined General Fiber Communications as executive vice president, operations. He comes from Charter Communications Inc., where he was senior VP, GM of the St. Louis system.

HGTV

Chad Youngblood was elevated to vice president, on-air promotion at Home & Garden Television. He had been director.

Also, HGTV upped Sharon Fleischhacker to vice president, special projects. She was director.

INSP

Gregory S. Richardson has joined The Inspiration Networks as director, senior corporate counsel. He comes from Bank of America, where he was a VP, sourcing consultant based in Charlotte, N.C.

Also, Rebecca Leigh Orvin was named marketing manager, Eastern region. She was affiliate marketing coordinator for INSP in its Charlotte, N.C. headquarters.

Finally, LeAnn Burnett Morse was elevated to senior producer/writer, on-air promotions. She was producer/writer for Inspiration Today!

Movielink

David Beddow was named chief technology officer of broadband video-on-demand service Movielink. He was CEO of Ascent Media.

MTV

MTV: Music Television’s MTV News & Docs unit has elevated Nina Diaz and Marshall Eisen to vice president. Also, MTV producer Lauren Lazin will produce and direct projects for the unit.

NBCU

NBC Universal Cable has named Henry Ahn senior vice president, responsible for leading the field-sales team in securing distribution for its basic-cable networks and cable Olympics coverage. He had been vice president.

Also, NBCU Cable upped Lee Crain to vice president, national accounts; Bradley Fleisher to vice president, Northeast region; Elizabeth Asencio to vice president, Southeast region; and Bruce Levinson to vice president, Southwest region.

Pioneer

John Godfrey has joined Pioneer North America as vice president of government and industry affairs. He comes from Sony Corp. of America, where he was director of government affairs.

Postworks

Carol Jazwinski has joined New York post-production company Postworks as vice president, sales. She comes from Company 3 New York, where she was an executive handling longform TV-series accounts.

PROMAX & BDA

Brett Ashy has joined PROMAX & BDA as senior vice president. He comes from Troika Design Group, where he was director, business development.

SeaChange

Mary Palermo Cotton has joined the board of directors of SeaChange International Inc. Cotton most recently served as chief operating officer of Aspen Technology Inc.

Sesame Workshop

Risa Nelson was named assistant vice president of international licensing at Sesame Workshop. She had been director, international licensing, Europe.

Solid State

Solid State Logic added two new service technicians to its New York office: Thomas Jensen as service manager and Phill Sholes as service engineer. Both come from the tech-support company’s U.K. office.

TV One

Kimberly Kelly was named vice president of legal and business affairs at TV One. She was associate general counsel, affliliate and government relations at Black Entertainment Television.
