Brad Westerman was promoted to senior vice president of national advertising sales for A&E Television Networks. Westerman will oversee the Chicago, Detroit and Los Angeles offices, as well as national and integrated sales.
AMC
AMC Networks named Noreen O'Loughlin executive vice president and general manager. O'Loughlin, an 18-year AMC veteran, is rejoining the company after a two-year break.
CommScope
June Travis was elected to the board of directors for CommScope Inc. Travis is a former executive vice president and chief operating officer of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association.
Court TV
Court TV named Mary Silverman senior vice president of programming. Silverman will be responsible for program acquisition, planning and scheduling.
Cox
Cox Business Services appointed Lindsey Burroughs vice president and general manager of its San Diego operations. Burroughs will be responsible for sales, support, service delivery and customer satisfaction.
ESPN
Sean Hanrahan was promoted to vice president of strategic partnership and sponsorship management for ESPN. Hanrahan's previous position was vice president of management and promotions.
ETWN
ETWN Global Catholic Network announced the following promotions: Gary Gagnon to director of studio operations; Peter Gagnon to director of on-air promotions; John Elson to manager of Spanish acquisitions; and Gina Rodioto manager of program scheduling.
GSN
Game Show Network added 13 new executives to its advertising sales team. In New York, the new hires include, Frank Ciancio, vice president of Eastern ad sales; account executives Laura Diefenbach, Adam Brander, Nicole Treiber Murphy and Teddy Pritikin; Melissa Zimmerman, director of ad sales marketing; Amy Liefer, director of direct response and paid programming; and Tom Kralik, director of research. Sam Moser joined the Dallas office as vice president of Western and Southwestern ad sales. And in Chicago, the new team members include director Kimberly Theiss and account executives Adam Rubin and Willliam Rouse.

Shira Kalish joined Hallmark Channel U.S. as vice president of advertising sales and alliance marketing. Also, Andy Karofsky was named vice president of Marketing for Crown Media U.S.

Kenneth Bronfin was named president of Hearst Interactive Media. Bronfin previously served as the division's deputy group head.

In Demand L.L.C. announced the following personnel moves: Sergei Kuharsky was appointed senior vice president of marketing; Jennifer Boudreaux was named vice president of financial planning and analysis; Richard Wellerstein was tapped as vice president of theatrical programming and acquisitions; and Sean Henry was appointed vice president of program planning and scheduling.

National Cable Communications promoted Nick Garramone to vice president of e-business. Garramone will oversee the electronic billing and e-business departments.

Lachlan Murdoch joined NDS Group plc's board of directors. Murdoch is the chairman and CEO of News Limited and deputy chief operating officer of News Corp.
Terayon
Sarah Hackforth was named vice president and general manager of Terayon Communications Systems Inc.'s Europe, Middle East and Africa operations. Hackforth will develop and implement the company's business strategies for its digital cable solutions products in those areas.
TVN
TVN Entertainment Corp. appointed Richard Cohen president of programming and distribution. The company also named JoAnn Levey senior vice president and general manager of TVN Direct.
TWC
Time Warner Cable appointed T. Ray Purser vice president of public affairs. Purser will oversee the company's positioning, media relations and government affairs. Mark Mersky was tapped as vice president of operations of TWC Advertising Sales.
VH1
Melissa Cobb was named vice president of motion pictures for television. The network also tapped Kim Rozenfield as vice president of West Coast programming and Robert Weiss as vice president of East Coast programming and development.
Wavexpress
Brian Hickey was promoted to president of Wavexpress Inc. Hickey, a former AT&T Broadband executive, previously held the position of general manager for Wavexpress.
Weather Central
Anne VanDerGeest was named director of new business development for Weather Central Inc. She will be responsible for identifying international opportunities and expanding the company's business into Canada and South America.
WGN
Bill Shaw was named vice president and general manager of WGN Superstation. Shaw was vice president of sales for WGN's parent Tribune Cable.
WICT
The New York chapter of Women in Cable and Telecommunications announced its officers and board members for 2002. Officers include: Sue Panzer, chapter president; Jeannine Sommer and Cheryl Marks, co-vice presidents; Mary Svet, treasurer; Lisa Lyons, secretary; Ilise Benun and Melani Griffith, membership co-chairs. Board members include: Gretchen Beidl, Nick Febrizio, Lori Greenwood, Lorraine Hack, Vincent McDonald, Amy Moshovos, Mary Oldak, Colleen Quinn, Ellen Schned, Cindy Swensen, Patricia Wilber and Mark Zelenz.
