Game Show Network Taps Boden

By Multi Channel News Staff -- Multichannel News, 8/13/2001 9:39:00 AM

Game Show Network has named TV-industry veteran Bob Boden senior vice president of programming, president and CEO Rich Cronin announced Monday.

Boden, who will report to Cronin, is now responsible for overseeing the network's programming, development, acquisitions and original productions, with the development and programming teams under his charge.

GSN is jointly owned and operated by Sony Pictures Entertainment and Liberty Digital Inc.

Prior to joining GSN, Boden was senior vice president, production and development at dick clark productions, where he was responsible for the development and production of reality series and game shows.

During his career, Boden has also served as vice president, development and production at FX, where he developed comedy, variety and game series. Boden was also vice president, daytime programming for The Family Channel, and co-creator and executive producer of Fox's Greed. Boden's resume also includes a credit as supervising producer of Family Feud.

'Bob is one of the foremost game experts in America. His knowledge and enthusiasm for game shows and interactive games, as well as his background in development and production, make him the ideal candidate for the job,' Cronin said in a prepared statement.
