It looks like cable's top tech brass will once again head to Las Vegas to take in the 2003 International Consumer Electronics Show.
The executive committee of Cable Television Laboratories Inc.'s board of directors will attend the show Jan. 9 through 12 to continue business discussions with major consumer-electronics manufacturers, in particular focusing on how they can work together to put more digital services and products in cable customers' hands.
Led by Brian Roberts, Comcast Corp president and chairman of CableLabs, the executives include Glenn Britt, chairman and CEO of Time Warner Cable; Joe Collins, chairman and CEO of AOL Time Warner Interactive Video; Jim Robbins, president and CEO of Cox Communications Inc.; and Carl Vogel, president and CEO of Charter Communications Inc.
"We found great value in the business meetings that were conducted last year," CableLabs president and CEO Richard Green said. "With increasing interest from both cable and the CE industry in high-definition television and advanced digital services, this year's show promises to be even better."
