Organization Announces 2008 Officers and Board Members

By Multi Channel News Staff -- Multichannel News, 12/18/2007 6:47:00 AM

With the new year, Charter Communications senior vice president of human resources Lynne Ramsey will begin a two-year term as president of the Cable Telecommunications Human Resources Association.

At that time, Juan Munoz, regional vice president of human resources for Time Warner Cable’s Texas Region, will end his term as head of the organization and continue to serve on CTHRA’s executive committee and board of directors as immediate past president.

“Having personally benefited from CTHRA membership, I welcome the opportunity to give back to the organization by serving as president,” said Ramsey in a statement. “I look forward to continuing CTHRA’s legacy of delivering industry-specific research and expanding resources and forums available to assist HR professionals in achieving their business goals.”

In addition to Ramsey and Munoz, CTHRA’s 2008 officers include: vice president/president-elect Lisa Chang, executive vice president of human resources for The Weather Channel Cos.; secretary Erin Hand, vice president of talent and development for Cox Communications; and treasurer Julie Cookson, senior vice president of human resources for Scripps Networks. Each officer will serve a two year term on CTHRA’s executive committee.

Additionallu, Lyn Cason, partner at Warren & Morris Ltd., has been appointed to a one-year term on the organization’s executive committee with direct oversight of CTHRA’s research and development.

After several years of service to the CTHRA board, three individuals will end their terms on Dec. 31: Timothy Goodly, senior vice president of human resources for Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., Brian C. Koenig, senior vice president of human resources for Scientific Atlanta; and John Jackson, vice president of administration and human resources for C-SPAN. Jackson and Koenig both held the role of CTHRA president during their tenure.

“CTHRA would not be the relevant, thriving organization it is today without the immense contributions of Brian Koenig, Jack Jackson and Tim Goodly. On behalf of CTHRA, I applaud their efforts and sincerely thank them for their years of service,” said Munoz in a statement.
