Ron Lamprecht, NBC Universal vice president of digital sales, oversees distribution of NBCU programming across multiple platforms including wireless, Internet and emerging digital platforms.
“A goal of mine is to help our distribution team drive growth for our multichannel customers across all platforms — TV, broadband, wireless, interactive — using all the great brands and assets NBCU has in its portfolio,” Lamprecht said.
In his current position, he supports the company’s Television Networks distribution team.
Previously, Lamprecht was vice president in charge of new media for NBCU Cable. In that role, he was involved in a number of deals on emerging platforms including the distribution of two new mobile channels on MediaFLO and Verizon Wireless. Lamprecht was also instrumental in the licensing of Universal film content to iTVN, Wurld Media and mSpot, as well as in managing the launch of Universal HD.
Before coming to NBC in 2000, he was an electrical engineer for a firm specializing in the design of large-scale trading floors and technology centers.
