Alicia Keys and Rod Stewart have been added to the performers’ list for VH1’s “Save the Music: A Concert to Benefit the VH1 Save the Music Foundation.”

They joined previously announced performers Queen Latifah, John Legend, Joss Stone and Rob Thomas.

The concert will take place at the Beacon Theatre in New York April 11 and will air on VH1 Sunday, April 17 at 9 p.m.

The network said that since its Save the Music initiative was created in 1997, nearly $30 million worth of musical instruments have been donated to nearly 1,200 public schools in 80 cities.
