Production Begins In October On 16-Episode Second Season

USA Network’s new hit series will be in plain sight of viewers again next year
The “characters” network announced at the Television Critics Association summer press tour here in Beverly Hills, Calif. that it has ordered 16 more episodes of the Mary McCormack-starrer In Plain Sight, production of which is slated to begin on location in and around Albuquerque, N.M., this October.
From Universal Cable Productions the show follows McCormack’s Mary Shannon, a U.S. marshal who relocates people in the federal witness protection program, while attempting to manage her own dysfunctional life.
The series has been the top new show in cable this year. Across its first seven premiere installments, the show has averaged 5.22 million viewers, including 2.21 million adults 18 to 49 and 2.56 million adults 25 to 54, according to Nielsen Media Research data.
Since the show bowed on June 1, USA has been the top show with the aforementioned groups in its Sunday 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. time period through July 13, according to network officials. It has also finished ahead of CBS in that period with those groups
