New Accord Gives Women’s Network Distribution Across Overbuilder’s Footprint

By Multi Channel News Staff -- Multichannel News, 9/20/2007 2:23:00 AM

Oxygen has breathed new air into deal with Wide Open West.

Under a new pact, the women’s-targeted network will fill in the gaps in WOW’s footprint. Starting Oct. 1, WOW will roll out Oxygen to its systems serving Detroit, Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio.

The affiliate accord, terms of which were not disclosed, gives Oxygen complete distribution across the overbuilder's 360,000 subscriber base.

Later this year, Oxygen will also be launched throughout all of WOW’s sytems.

“WOW! has been a great partner to us and we are thrilled to be fully distributed in their systems,” Oxygen president of distribution Mary Murano said in a statement. “Oxygen has made great strides this year in our drive to full distribution, and we continue to focus on being a great partner to our affiliates in order to achieve this goal.”

“We are happy to announce the launch of Oxygen on our  lineup in these three markets as we continue our commitment to deliver quality networks to our customers”, said Colleen Abdoulah, WOW president and CEO, in a statement.
