Time Warner Launches PhotoShowTV

Time Warner Cable announced the launch of PhotoShowTV free-of-charge to its digital-cable and Road Runner high-speed-data subscribers.

PhotoShowTV allows users to create and publicly share PhotoShows, made from personal photos and video clips, directly on cable TV. Time Warner subscribers can also post PhotoShows on the operator’s video-on-demand service for public viewing.

PhotoShowTV was developed by Simple Star.

“By converging our digital-cable and high-speed-online service, this new feature brings sharing the family photo album to a whole new level and gives users the opportunity to put their favorite photos and video clips on TV,” Time Warner senior vice president of on-demand product management Bob Benya said in a prepared statement.
