Abrams Shakes Up MSNBC

New MSNBC general manager Dan Abrams revamped the network’s primetime schedule, switching to a documentary format from 10 p.m.-midnight weekdays.
Former Fox News Channel anchor Rita Cosby will head up a new "Rita Cosby Specials" unit and anchor MSNBC Investigates at 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.
"To us, documentary programming is not just essential: It is critical. Documentaries are our most important programs. We’re going to repeat them throughout the weekend," Abrams -- the son of First Amendment attorney Floyd Abrams -- told the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Abrams -- who used to host Dan Abrams Reports at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. -- is giving former CNN conservative voice Tucker Carlson the time slots. Carlson will add a focus to "hold newsmakers and shakers in the media accountable," MSNBC said.
