A day after the $496 million deal to acquire Sundance Channel closed, Rainbow Media Holdings has shuffled some management at the network.
According to sources familiar with both companies, former Sun
dance Channel executive vice president and general manager of programming and creative affairs Laura Michalchyshyn will become general manager of the Sundance Channel. Jennifer Caserta, who had been executive vice president of marketing, communications, scheduling and alternative programming for IFC, will be elevated to general manager of that service.
Both women report to former IFC executive vice president and general manager Evan Shapiro, who was also promoted and now heads both IFC and Sundance.
Shapiro will report to Rainbow Entertainment Services president Ed Carroll, who will report to Rainbow Media CEO Josh Sapan.
Earlier today, Rainbow said that former Sundance Channel CEO Larry Aidem was named president of Rainbow Ventures, effective immediately.
