By Larry Barrett -- Multichannel News, 5/14/2008 6:06:00 AM

SES Americom Wednesday named cable industry veteran Jodi Morelli as its new marketing director for media and enterprise services.

In this new role, Morelli will be responsible for overseeing the marketing efforts of the division which includes SES Americom’s HD Prime Neighborhood and Business Network.

Prior to joining SES Americom, Morelli served as director of global marketing at PanAmSat (now Intelsat).

“Bringing Jodi’s time honored marketing expertise on board at this time is a strategic move for the organization as we work collectively to deliver state-of-the-art telecommunications services across the continent,” Bryan McGuirk, President of SES Americom, Media and Enterprise Services. “She is an important asset to the team, and we look forward to her contribution to our marketing efforts.”

Morelli has more than 20 years of experience in the cable television industry working at a variety of companies including MTV, Outdoor Life Network, Fox News Channel and Fox Liberty Networks.

On Tuesday, Ion Media Networks closed a deal for SES Americom’s IP-PRIME to deliver the broadcaster’s national suite of programming, including its flagship network and its children and lifestyle channels.
