CMT is taking a home renovation team on the road.
From the producers of the network’s Gone Country, Mobile Home Disaster will launch May 16 at 9 p.m. (ET/PT).
The series, hosted by comedian John Caparulo, finds deserving families living in less than the best mobile homes and the “Home Disaster Team” of Lori-Lynn Lively, Joe DeRobbio and Kyle Carlson, drop their expertise to revitalized these houses on wheels.
CMT has ordered eight one-hour installments from 83 Entertainment.
“Mobile Home Disaster is a fun new take on the home makeover genre,” said CMT head of development Bob Kusbit in a statement. “It lets viewers see how hardworking Americans can transform their dilapidated mobile homes into the ideal ‘American Dream’ on wheels.”

Dear Mobile Home makeover Disaster and CMT!! Our home is a DISASTER!! I am Candy and I am 35 years old and Live in tiny Pulaski Tennessee (Giles County) I am a full time college student at the University of Phoenix and I am 4 months away from my Bachelors degree and working towards my Masters in business. Our family wants to own our own business in about and WE own a ; my 3 biological children Ashley 12, Brianna 11, and Mikey 9 live in a 2 bedroom mobile home where the ceiling and wall are duck taped the toilet wobbles and the water from the water heater spews everywhere, outside the trailer (1985 Frontier12x66)!!! LOL We do not have a stove and we rent our refrigerator which we cannot afford. My two dogs sleep in plastic kennels outside for their dog house and my kids window in their room is plexi-glass because the previous owners son busted it out. The real kicker is my significant other lives here too; her name is Tiffany and she is 28 and works for Burger King and brings the income into the house; we have been together for almost 7 years and have struggled the entire time. We are both recovering addicts and we love to be clean, sober, and spend time with our family. Another thing you should know is my adopted daughter Eve who is 23 also lives her with her wonderful soon to be husband Michael 26 and my beautiful 15 month old grand baby named Nevaeh. Eve and Michael sleep on a twin mattress in the living room and my son usually sleeps on the couch. My girls sleep in their room on stacked mattresses on the floor and my significant other and i also sleep on mattresses on the floor. We have one air conditioner that barely cools one side of the trailer in 100 degree or more weather and we have fans to try to make it through the day. Last but not least My son Mikey is on SSI for his emotional, mental, and physical disabilities and a week and a half ago he tripped over a plug for our double burner we use because we do not have a stove and the oil was hot from cooking fried yellow squash and his leg got burnt from his knee to his toes. My house is not unlivable just frustrating and we could really use some help, we are planning to build on two rooms; however that takes more money than we truly have.

Hello; I've watched the reality show Mobile Home disaster makeover, and have been so impressed with the renewed life and happiness that is put into the lives of the home owners and there families. Unfortunately I also live in a disaster Mobile Home. The place was built in 1978, and when I bought it 11 years ago from a used Mobile Home co. They did a real cosmetic job to cover up all the leaks and floor problems that came on within the first year. The house is really unsafe to live in. The front bedroom celling is caving in, bathroom celling is caving in, kitchen celling leeks so bad, light have stopped working, and floors in 5 different rooms have floor boards buckling and 4 rooms the floors have holes, 15" wide and in the living room, a hole that runs the full width of the room. The only thing that keeps from going through is the carpet on top of them. We also have Black mold in the celling, walls and windows because of the water leaks and moister. I am 65 years old now and disabled as a former commercial Truck Driver. I was driving as a insured independent driver. While at a stop lite, I was rammed in the rear by another Truck driver who was uninsured. My insurance covered my major medical bills, but that was all. I suffered permanent back damage and now live on less than $950,00 a month. My Doughtier also lives with me, and due to here disabilities, maintenance of the Mobil Home is impossible. I've developed the loss of one kidney, contracted a staff infection that attacked the micro-valve of the heart and I'm a diabetic. What a sob story, but it is true. My hope and dream is if possible to make over this place so that I would have something to leave my doughtier. I'm sure that there are allot of needy people, some worse off than we are, and these I hope would have priority in a decision but if possible could we be put on a waiting list. This would give us some hope. Thank You.

Hello,I live in central Texas and noticed that you have a requirement that people must live in southern California in order to receive your help.I personally really could use some help and think that your stipulation is a bunch of bull****.I have taken photos of just some of the work that I am currently attempting to do but due to bad knees it is almost impossible for me to complete.I live in a mobile home with my mother and her brother who are both over the age of 60.the steps on the front are becoming a chore to say the least for any of us to climb, the roof is starting to leak in the second bedroom and several of the floors need to be replaced(due to water damage in the past). If you can see fit to helping anyone other than those in California it would be a blessing.
