BET’s ad-sales department is in a Hot Ghetto Mess.
The Hollywood Reporter said Tuesday that State Farm Insurance and Home Depot asked the network to remove their ads from the series -- which BET described as a half-hour clip show that uses “comedy, man-on-the-street interviews and some of the most shocking video clips from around the country … to shine a spotlight on the good, the bad and the ugly of Black popular culture” -- AP reported.
BET confirmed to AP that sponsors asked to be removed from Hot Ghetto Mess but declined to specify the companies involved.
