Five BET Awards Noms for Foxx

Black Entertainment Television announced the nominations for its 2006 BET Awards, set to air live Tuesday, June 27 from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles at 8 p.m. (EST) and 7 p.m. (CST) and tape-delayed to the Pacific and Mountain time zones.

Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx set a BET Awards record with five nominations. And rappers Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott and rhythm-and-blues diva Mary J. Blige earned four apiece.

Actor and comedian Damon Wayans will host the 2006 BET Awards.
