Cable Operator Launches HD Feed of Regional Sports Network New York

RCN launched SportsNet New York in HD.

SNY launched March 16, 2006, and the regional sports network is owned by Major League Baseball’s New York Mets through Sterling Entertainment Enterprises, Time Warner and Comcast and operated by the latter.

The network airs regular-season Mets games, pregame and postgame shows and Mets-related programs; the National Football League’s New York Jets-related content; other professional and collegiate sports, such as Big East and Big Ten basketball and football games; classic sports and event programming; exclusive interview and magazine programs; and nightly sports-news show SportsNite.
