Expanding its reach in the competitive New York metro area, Verizon Communications said it is now taking orders for FiOS TV in parts of six more New Jersey towns: Mount Holly and Westampton in Burlington County; Helmetta, Jamesburg and Spotswood in Middlesex County; and Palisades Park in Bergen County.
Verizon offers FiOS TV in more than 280 New Jersey communities, competing with cable operators including Cablevision Systems, Comcast and Time Warner Cable.
The telco on Wednesday filed a false-advertising lawsuit against Time Warner Cable, alleging the cabler’s TV ads airing in the New York region misrepresent FiOS.
