SCTE Builds a Foundation

The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers Thursday announced the board of directors for its new SCTE Foundation.

The SCTE Foundation was founded at the trade group’s Cable-Tec Expo 2005 in San Antonio, with the missions of assisting in innovation and education within cable and telecommunications engineering, helping to further research and information of cable and telecommunications technology and helping maintain a history and awareness of cable and telecommunications evolution.

The SCTE Foundation board is:

• President: Keith R. Hayes, vice president, hybrid fiber-coaxial technical operations and engineering, Adelphia Communications Corp.

• Vice president: John Clark, CEO, SCTE.

• Treasurer: Bob Macioch, director, engineering, Southwest division, Time Warner Cable.

• Secretary: Mike Phebus, director, strategic accounts, NCTI.
