One-Hour Special In Conversation ... The Senator Barack Obama Interview Set for July 2

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) will discuss a wide range of issues of interest to African Americans during a July 2 TV One special, In Conversation ... The Senator Barack Obama Interview.

The one-hour interview, conducted by TV One commentator Roland Martin, touches on a host of important domestic issues including civil rights and race relations, violence, poverty, immigration, education and health care, as well as significant international issues including the war in Iraq, genocide in Darfur and America’s global reputation.

Obama also discusses more personal issues, such as why he thinks he should be president, his faith and how it affects his decision making and how he responds to those who question his level of experience, the network said.
