Spelling Series Soars For Oxygen

Second Installment Was Net’s Most-Watched Telecast Ever Against Key Demo

Tuesday’s installment of Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood was Oxygen’s most- watched telecast in the network’s history against its key demo.

The series’ latest episode, which centered on the couple throwing a birthday party for son Liam, attracted 660,000 women 18 to 49 in the 10 p.m. hour on July 8, among its 994,000 total watchers, according to Nielsen Media Research data.

Oxygen officials said the show, which recorded a 1.2 household rating average, ranked second in cable, behind only MTV, during the timeslot that night with its target audience. It also brought in 802,000 adults 18 to 49 and 339,000 women 18-to-34 watchers.

Relative to the show’s July 1 episode, the second episode scored a 56% gain among persons 18 to 40, a 63% jump among women 18 to 49, a 51% advance versus women 18 to 34 and 55% amelioration against total viewers, according to network officials.
