New Look for CIC

Cable in the Classroom enunciated a new strategic direction and unveiled a new logo.
The logo -- complementary to the National Cable & Telecommunications Association’s new brand and look -- features the tag line: “Kids. Cable. Learning.”
The cable industry’s educational outreach group wants member cable companies to begin using the new look Monday. Guidelines are available on the CIC Web site (www.ciconline.com).
As part of its new plan, CIC said it will work closely with its membership to develop new, more flexible formats for its content and resources that are easier for educators to use; to educate the public about adapting to the coming transition to digital technology; to revitalize CIC publications and Web-site communications to highlight best practices they can replicate; and to initiate an annual cable and education summit, among other initiatives, according to CIC executive director Helen Soulé.
