NAMIC Elects Nine New Members to Board of Directors

A&E Vice President Mark Garner Treasurer

The National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications elected nine members to its board of directors, and reelected 10 executives to the board. NAMIC also named A&E Television Networks vice president of distribution and business development Mark Garner treasurer.

The newly elected members of the NAMIC Board are: Kenetta Bailey, senior vice president, Marketing, WE tv; Matthew de Ganon, vice president, broadband & consumer applications, The Weather Channel Interactive; Mark Horn, principal, Deloitte Consulting; Mark Kang, vice president, The Sportsman Channel; Tracy Lawrence, executive director, Russell Reynolds Associates; Filemon Lopez, regional senior vice president, South Florida Region, Comcast; Reinaldo Llano, director, community relations, Bright House Networks; Joiava Philpott, corporate vice president & senior counsel, government affairs and legislative policy, Charter Communications; and Danielle Wade, vice president of customer service and marketing, Bright House Networks.

Executive reelected to serve multiple terms include: Valeria Arana, director, consumer marketing, Telemundo; Michael Cooper, vice president, marketing and ad sales, Fox Cable Networks; Clara Felix, vice president, consumer research, Showtime Networks; Raymond Gutierrez, executive vice president, human resources  and administration, Showtime Networks; Veronica Hutchinson, vice president, programming, BET; Brigitte McCray, senior vice president of programming and scheduling, Oxygen Media; Sandra Murillo Weber, vice president of multicultural market development, Turner Broadcasting; Loretta Polk, vice president and associate general counsel, National Cable & Telecommunications Association; Winston Warrior, director of marketing services, Cox Enterprises; and Akihiko Washington, senior vice president, worldwide human resources, Warner Bros. Entertainment.
