RFD-TV said Thursday it signed an affiliation agreement that lets it seek carriage on Comcast cable systems for its standard-definition and high-definition channels.
The seven-year-old Nashville-based programming service claims 31 million homes via distribution partners, including Comcast. Other key affiliates are DirecTV, Dish Network, Charter, Mediacom, Suddenlink and Bresnan.
Parent company Rural Media Group committed millions of dollars to simulcast the Imus in the Morning radio program in an effort to break out of just “country” carriage and into “city” systems.
