Nick Jr.’s Diego to Go on iO

Nick Jr.’s Go, Diego, Go! will debut on Cablevision Systems Corp.’s iO: Interactive Optimum digital-cable service weeks before appearing on the network.

The first episode of the animated preschool action-adventure series -- spun off from Nickelodeon hit series Dora the Explorer -- will be available on iO’s “Nick on Demand” free-video-on-demand service Aug. 1-21, before debuting on Nick Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 8 p.m. (EST/PST).

Go, Diego, Go! will then join the Nick Jr. lineup Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 11 a.m.

“We are pleased to be working with Nickelodeon to make this new and highly anticipated children’s series available to our iO digital-cable customers before anyone else through this free preview,” Cablevision senior vice president of product management Kristin Dolan said in a prepared statement.
