Network Sends ‘Attack Of The Show’ Hosts To Convention

By Linda Moss -- Multichannel News, 1/2/2008 8:10:00 AM

G4 said it will offer two nights of programming from the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next week.

G4 Presents CES 2008 premieres Jan. 7 at 7 p.m., and the coverage continues Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. with more highlights from the show.

Attack of the Show hosts Kevin Pereira and Olivia Munn will take a look at the future of gadgets, consumer electronics and home entertainment technology, along with breaking-news updates on the most buzz-worthy products and events.

While CES is closed to the general public, G4 said it will explore the exhibit hall and get a first look at advancements in consumer technology and the world’s quirkiest new products. In order to present comprehensive updates that truly take viewers inside the year’s most important tech event, G4’s coverage of CES 2008 will extend well beyond standard show-floor updates through four hours of primetime programming devoted to giving viewers access to the complete CES experience.

Pereira and Munn will be joined by Kristin Holt, Zach Selwyn, Chris Hardwick, gadget expert Dave Mathews and other tech experts and electronics enthusiasts who will sift through thousands of new products to provide demonstrations of the most electrifying electronics, previews of the “must-have” gadgets and exclusive interviews with industry players.

G4 will provide coverage of Microsoft’s Bill Gates tenth, and possibly final, CES kickoff keynote address.

The network will also present picks for the hottest technologies across 10 categories, including digital cameras, camcorders, automotive technology, computers, peripherals, home theaters, displays and TVs, mobile phones, portable audio and video and personal technology.

G4TV.com will offer CES coverage from the floor with up-to-the-minute news updates on the CES blog, hundreds of videos, product previews and photo galleries to complement the on-air offering.

Hundreds of streaming videos will be made available as CES 2008 unfolds, from the best of the on-air coverage to Web-exclusive show floor interviews, product demos and previews.
